Silport has been included in 2011 to the category „A“ of the Trans-European Transport network TEN-T.
Port of Sillamäe (Silport) is a “bridge” between the European Union and the Russian Federation, situated only 25 km from the Russian order is one of the largest projects for private investors in Baltics, was built up during only 8 years and reached to 4,9 million tons of cargo volumes in 2011.
The cargo flow is growing duaring last two years very fast - 40% per year and the port is the second port in Estonia and the fifth in the Baltic states after Tallinn, Klaipeda, Riga and Ventspils.
