Nordecon signs €20 million contract for construction of Port of Sillamäe infrastructure
Nordecon has entered into a contract with Sillamäe Sadam AS for the Stage 2 construction of infrastructure at the Port of Sillamäe. The contract is valued at €20 million. Project are scheduled for completion by the end of 2012.
Describing the work that will take place as part of Stage 2 of the development of the infrastructure at the Port of Sillamäe. Nordecon 'll be building a new wharf measuring more than 800 metres, preparing around 40 hectares of land for use as a container and general goods terminal and installing everything that's needed for container crane operations. Six new roads are also being constructed at the railway depot, so the tunnel at its two-tier crossing is being significantly widened. All in all we'll be using almost 10,000 m³ of concrete and 6000 tonnes of steel.
The contracts are valued at €20 million, plus VAT. Work will begin in August 2011 and is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2012.
