SILPORT was announced the winner of an entreprenural competition „Developer of Ida-Virumaa 2005” in the category „Investor of Ida-Virumaa 2005” at Ida-Virumaa Development Conference „Rapid Growth” on May 11, 2006 in Narva, Estonia.
Relying on the priorities of the county development program, the jury including Ago Silde, Katri Raik, Marika Priske, Ahti Puura, Erik Gamzeev, Tomas Dannenberg, Stanislav Sorokin, Indrek Narusk concluded: „SILPORT has made the largest investments in Ida-Virumaa worth of 1.1 billion kroons that has lead to establishing new work places in the county. Establishment of SILPORT has expanded the county’s infrastructure adding new opportunities for transit trade, industrial manufacturing and tourism development and opens the region to an international arena.”
Other companies aknowledged in the same category were AS Viru Keemia Grupp and AS Narva Elektrijaamad.
