Port Infrastructure at present
SILPORT has been operating since October 14, 2005 featuring the following infrastructure:

Quays:
  • 2 quays for oil products 16,5 m deep;
  • 3 quays for liquid chemicals 2x12 m and 13 m deep;
  • 3 ro-ro ramps 10 m and 2x12 m deep;
  • 3 quays for general cargo 10 m and 2x12 m deep;
  • 4 container quays under construction 14,5 m deep (2010).
Total quays length are 2 km and would be expand up to 2,7 km by 2010.
90 ha land for receiving new cars with storage capacity for 45 thousand cars.


Railways:
  • railway track: 3 km from Vaivara station (Estonian Railway Co.) to Sillamäe Station;
  • Sillamäe Railway Station: 8 tracks 1050 m each (18 planned, including 6 tracks x 1,5 km).
Roads:
  • network of intra-roads;
  • connection roads to Tallinn – St. Petersburg and Narva – Moscow highways.

Port Infrastructure Expansion:
  • Regained 50 ha of land from the sea for dry bulk, ro-ro and dedicated container terminals; additional up to 100 ha regained land from the sea would be completed by the year 2011.
  • Expanding Sillamäe Railway Station up to 18 tracks, incl. 6 tracks 1500 m long each.
  • 100 ha of land for new cars with the capacity for 50 000 cars;
  • New LPG terminal is planned for the nearest future.
SILPORT hinterland territory of 600 ha has the Free Zone status and is available for developing different terminals, distribution and manufacturing facilities.


Passenger
SILPORT is developing also passenger and cargo traffic with Kotka, Finland. SILPORT completed and modernized all the required infra- and superstructure to service passenger flow.
