SILPORT is the closest to Russia deep-sea port the EU being located only 25 km from the EU-Russia border, in Sillamäe, Estonia.
The I phase of SILPORT’s infrastructure includes: - 2 oil products quays with depth: 16 m
- 1 liquid chemicals with depth: 12 m
- 1 ro-ro quay with a ramp with depth: 12 m
- 3 general cargo quays with depth: 12 m
- 1 railway connection track from Vaivara station to Sillamäe station 2 km
- Sillamäe railway station with 4 tracks 1050 m each (18 planned incl: 5 tracks x 1,5 km)
- connection roads to the nearby Tallinn – St. Petersburg highway
Hence, the depths at the berths of SILPORT will allow to accommodate the largest vessels that can enter the Baltic Sea. According to estimations, the infrastructure of SILPORT is capable of handling up to 10 m tons of cargo per year in the I phase of port development.
SILPORT is a landlord port and leases out infrastructure to independent operators for long term (up to 99 years). At present there are four terminals being developed in SILPORT: - Sillamäe Oil Terminal Ltd. – terminal for light and dark oil products with a storage capacity of 157 500 t in the first phase.
- Tankchem Ltd. – terminal for liquid chemical products with a storage capacity of 46 500 t.

SILPORT is open for cooperation with other companies for establishing terminals, distribution centres or manufacturing facilities within Sillamäe Free Zone. 600 ha Sillamäe Free Zone (0% VAT, customs duties and excise taxes for cargo in transit) in the hinterland of SILPORT in combination with fiscal policy of Estonia that is the most liberal in Europe (0% corporate income tax on retained earnings) make SILPORT an efficient platform for value-added distribution of cargo to/ from the neighbouring markets of the EU, Russia, the CIS countries and even the Far East.
Being dedicated to handling cargo flows between the EU and Russia SILPORT will influence remarkably the distribution of international cargo flows in North-Europe as well as enhance social, economic and political cooperation between Estonia and Russia.
